6. Limitations:

a. Zebu and Crossbred Cattle Constraint: FarmSeba can calculate ideal nutrient requirements for any kind of Zebu cattle but has limits for zebu and crossbred cattle. The software is designed for cattle with a 50-75% bloodline in dairy or beef breeds. Beyond this range, the accuracy of nutrient requirement calculations for crossbred cattle may differ.

b. Source of Feed Nutrient Composition: FarmSeba utilizes feed nutrient data collected from open-source documents, research, and publications available in the public domain. However, the software does not take responsibility for the accuracy of these feed nutrient compositions. Users are advised to cross-verify information if critical decisions are based on the calculated nutrient values.

c. Refund Policy: FarmSeba does not have a refund policy. Once users subscribe to the software, the subscription fees are non-refundable, irrespective of the circumstances. Users are encouraged to utilize the 14-day free trial to assess the suitability of the software for their needs before committing to a subscription.

d. Ideal Nutrient Requirements for Zebu and Crossbred Cattle: The software’s ideal nutrient requirements for Zebu and crossbred cattle are derived from guidelines provided by the Department of Animal Science at the Federal University of Viçosa (Brazil). Users should be aware that these guidelines may not fully cover all scenarios, and there might be variations based on specific regional or farm conditions.

e. Geographical Suitability: While FarmSeba is designed for tropical climates, its applicability may vary based on specific geographical and climatic conditions. Users are encouraged to consider additional factors unique to their location that may influence cattle nutrition.

f. No Offline Functionality: FarmSeba is web-based software, requiring a continuous internet connection for access. Users should ensure a reliable internet connection for uninterrupted usage.

g. Limited Scope Beyond Feed Formulation: FarmSeba primarily focuses on ration balancing and record-keeping for cattle farms. It may not encompass other aspects of cattle management, such as health monitoring or  analyzing farm expences.

7. Feed Nutrient Accuracy

a. Data Sources: FarmSeba relies on open-source documents, research, and publications available in the public domain to gather feed nutrient composition data. The accuracy of nutrient information is dependent on the reliability and precision of these sources. Variations in data quality and representativeness may affect the overall accuracy of the software’s feed nutrient calculations.

b. Regional Variability: Feed nutrient composition can vary significantly based on geographical locations, soil types, and climate conditions. FarmSeba’s data sources may not capture all regional variations, leading to potential inaccuracies in nutrient calculations, especially in areas with unique feed profiles.

c. Species and Varietal Differences: Different cattle species and breeds, as well as variations within a breed, can exhibit distinct nutrient requirements. FarmSeba provides nutrient calculations based on general guidelines, and individual variations may not be fully accounted for, potentially affecting accuracy.

d. Dynamic Feed Quality: Feed quality can change over time due to factors such as seasonal variations, harvesting methods, and storage conditions. FarmSeba’s reliance on static data may not reflect these dynamic changes accurately, impacting the precision of nutrient calculations.

e. Feed Processing Methods: The accuracy of nutrient data can be influenced by feed processing methods, such as drying, grinding, or ensiling. FarmSeba may not consider specific processing techniques, leading to potential discrepancies in calculated nutrient values.

f. Limited Nutrient Data Points: The nutrient composition data available to FarmSeba may not cover all possible feed types or combinations. Limited data points may result in less accurate nutrient calculations for feeds that fall outside the scope of the software’s database.

g. User-Generated Data: Users may input custom feed data into FarmSeba. The accuracy of nutrient calculations for user-generated data depends on the precision and reliability of the information provided by the user.

h. Evolution of Scientific Knowledge: FarmSeba relies on existing scientific research for feed nutrient composition. Advances in scientific knowledge may occur over time, and FarmSeba may not incorporate the latest findings, potentially affecting the accuracy of nutrient calculations.
